I have been trying to mount a folder share in a storage device called: LaCie 5Big Network 2. You need to install basic NFS software first with: sudo apt-get install nfs-common In the LaCie device create a share, por example "FolderShared1". Click on the button "protocols" to see if NFS is enabled. Set it up to public in case you want to access it without user and password. Create a folder that will be used as mounting point: mkdir /home/your_username/LacieMount Let's say the ip address of your LaCie device is 192.168.1.1 To mount it use: sudo mount 192.168.1.1:/shares/FolderShared1 /home/your_username/LacieMount That is all. I tried to install php with apache by default. It didn't work. After installing "everything" php was seen as a text file. So apparently there is one additional package that needs to be installed. So, the right way to install is sudo apt-get install apache2 php libapache2-mod-php7.0 The first two will install the latest versions (At the time I am writing this post the latest version for php was 7.0)

It has just happened to me that suddenly the keyboard lost its setup. The keyboard has in  a button the 6 and &, symbols, but with this issue the /  character was printed instead. In addition, the ^  character in the right, using AltGr  didn't appear. Additional keys were missing and others in other settings. To solve this state the following command is the key: sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration In the options I selected the standard 104 keyboard, and included dead tilde. This is your path.

I wasn't able to format a micro sd card using ubuntu. So I saw several threads but none worked on my device. The following steps allowed me to format it. El objetivo de esta publicación es modificar un iso de androidx86 para que cuente con acceso a internet cuando se utiliza en virtualbox, habilitando la interfaz ethernet para adquirir una dirección IP al iniciar el sistema por DHCP y habilitar un servidor DNS. Se recomienda probar que los comandos que se incorporarán al iso funcionan en el iso que se haya seleccionado. Para esta prueba se usó el iso android-x86-4.0-r1-eeepc.iso . La prueba consiste en iniciar en modo Live el iso, aceptar todas las opciones hasta tener el mensaje de que está listo para usarse. Si habéis instalado guvcview, pero al momento de probar y querer grabar la webcam ésta aparece con un fondo negro, este post es para ti. La razón principal es porque hay conflictos con el kernel de vuestra versión de ubuntu. Hay dos soluciones, agregar un ppa ( Enlace a post de PPA ), o descargar la última versión de guvcview y resolver sus dependencias manualmente, este último caso es el que se explica. Primero, descargad la última versión desde la página oficial del proyecto Enlace . Una vez descargado, y descomprimido el paquete con tar -xzvf paquete.tar.gz , al ejecutar ./configure los siguientes paquetes no están presentes en el sistema y si se busca explícitamente con apt-get install, no serán encontrados, algunos vienen con otros paquetes, no se instalan directamente, mas otros solo hay que saber el nombre apropiado para descargarlos.
